WhatsApp are rolling out usernames. Soon, instead of a person using your WhatsApp number they will be contacting you via a username, eg johnsmith.
If you open or have opened WhatsApp today it will tell you that you can reserve a username,
RESERVE it!
This is expecially relevant if your business has a WhatsApp number. You would ideally like to reserve your business name – it is not case sensitve and cannot have spaces.
If you ignored the message you can still go to your WhatsApp on your phone and choose SETTINGS, ACCOUNT. Then choose @Username
It could become as important as your email and website domain name.
You must know that people are right now reserving millions of names so they can sell you your name back
You really don’t want to delay and end up with a username called <YOURBUSINESSNAME>6783434234
PS Do it yourself. No doubt scammers are going to offer to do it for you in which case they’ll steal your WhatsApp number as well.
