Let AI write your report for you.
You have lots of data – finance data, marketing data, HR data, client data. Each meeting you hold you need to produce a report.
Most reports follow a template style: they supply the raw or summarised data, graphs and a report analysing the data. This is just the type of task where AI excels.
A reasonably simple software program can read your data and using AI can write up the report on the data in seconds. All you need to do is check the report and print it out.
What type of data? Ideally it is something that needs to be done regularly and where the data is stored in a central database.
– It could be your monthly management accounts
– It could be a sales report
– It could be a pathology labs report on blood tests.
– It could be staff turnover or an exception report
This is different to using a report writer. The AI system is trained to interpret the data and give a competent report explaining the data not just calculating the changes.

To use the medical example: An AI system could give a report:
“Based on your age of 58, your blood pressure of 145/90 is high. Your cholesterol of 5.6/3.7 and weight of 85kg for a person of 1.7m is an indication that your should make an appointment to see your doctor.”
NB I’m just using layman’s numbers and interpretations.

An expert will have no difficulty in writing up any similar report in 2 minutes.

For example the HR manager can look at the data for retrenchments, new recruits, age of employee, training, letters of warnings, grievances, dismissals in different departments. Then the HR manager will have no difficulty in writing up the report, other than the times taken to do so. An AI system, once set up, can do the job in seconds.

Your environmental report is another good example. Once the underlying data can be collected and written into a database (it could even be an Excel spreadsheet), the AI system can report on it.

In all cases the expert’s job is to check and if necessary further train the AI system, rather than waste time writing up the report.
