Can potential customers call you at their convenience to get information from you about your products and get support? Even large corporations mostly do not run a 24 hour support centre. Some have an emergency number at best. Why not offer 24 hour support? Obviously it is cost related. It implies more call centre agents, more supervisory staff and larger infrastructure. Costs could run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars per year.
What if a potential customer cannot sleep and chooses to visit your website to get some information. Can they get the answers to their queries? Will they wait until 9am to call your company?

If an on-line store with a small staff can give these quality answers, then you have no excuse not to implement a similar solution. In any event I challenge a company to provide this quality empathy and information via a live agent for 2 questions within 2 minutes.
