Will you be using AI at the end of the year?

Right now, there is some resistance to AI. Companies are wary of it and want to do their research before jumping full tilt into it.
What many companies don’t realise is many of their staff have already started using ChatGPT, Gemini, Meta AI, Grok. I’m not referring to the IT people who need to do research, but other staff in marketing, sales, admin, finance etc.

It’s not formalised, just someone has created an account and they are using AI to help them do a particular job.

What is going to happen this year?
– More and more people will discover what it can do, just like they use Google for search or Excel for spreadsheets.
– Forward thinking companies will start training their staff on using AI
– It will start getting formalised. Some companies may want to pay for a premium subscription for some of their staff, for example for image creation.
– Managers will expect their staff to use AI to do a better job and do the job faster. This is no different from asking your employee to design an Excel spreadsheet.
– When you interview a person for a new job, one of your questions will be “Do you know and do you use AI?” (If you want to know additional questions to ask your prospective employee, ask ChatGPT of any of the others!) You could even use our AI agent to do the initial interview for you! By the end of the year an admin person who has not used AI will be at a disadvantage.
– IT departments will start implementing AI in their processes using AI agents, AI concepts, AI telephony and messaging.
– Customer support will continue moving towards AI.

AI Robotics is coming, but I don’t think it will be mainstream by year end. Self driving cars, at least in South Africa is also not going to happen in 2025.
