– Let me give you a simple example. You know how you always have customers asking questions or sending you emails wanting to know what product they should use for a particular requirement, or how your specific product/service could help them, or needing help on using your product?

– Well we could have an AI agent replying to the email or webform or chat enquiry. It will save you time and effort. Also money.

Yes, but that doesn’t make sense. How can the AI can give a response that I, an experienced business person have had to spend 20 years learning?
– I understand your concern. However we give our AI agents as much information/knowledge as you can provide us. It will be user manuals, brochures and all previous responses you have given. Our AI Agent becomes and has a lot of knowledge. We call it ‘machine learning’.

That still doesn’t help to answer all customer queries.
– You’re right. What we also do is monitor every question and answer and every time our AI agent gives an answer that is not perfect, we ask you to help us update its knowledge. This is usually in the first couple of months of its use, This is machine learning in action. It means next time a similar question is asked, the AI agent will have the right answer. Over a short time the AI agent will have most of the knowledge it requires and it will continually get better.
