I had a very productive meeting with a potential client yesterday. She has a one person business. It is a small on-line shop. She advertises on Facebook and gets about 20 leads per day. Her objective is to grow the business without employing too many people.
Her big problem right now is the leads come to her via Whatsapp and she spends too much time replying to each person to have time to do more advertising and other work to run the business.
Her tongue-in-cheek comment was “I don’t want to talk to my customers anymore”.
The problem is she is very knowledgeable and passionate about the business so she gives better service and support than anyone else can. She is very busy and does not want to delay replying to a Whatsapp or email. She said that she knows if she replies immediately, the chance of getting the customer to order is far greater.
