I hear this so often from people from all walks of life. Business people also.
I understand why they feel that way. AI is new software technology. Many people have not used it enough to fully appreciate it, so read and hear horror stories. It’s quite intimidating. “How can AI do a job in 2 minutes that takes me 10 hours?”
I argue or disagree with people. Rather I try to show them what it can do and how useful it is.
Early this morning, at 6:56am a potential customer visited our client’s website and asked the AI chatbot:
“Hi. Do.u have a descending brush for cats” Typo included.
What would you have done? How would your company have reacted? Was anyone at work to even answer?
Assuming you answered at 6:56am would you have said “What do you mean by a descending brush”. That’s what I thought when I saw the question.
Instead our amazing AI chatbot said 10 seconds later:
“Hello! It seems you’re looking for a deshedding brush for cats. I recommend checking out our grooming section for suitable grooming tools. You can visit the grooming and appearance page for more information on grooming products that might meet your needs. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!”
Yes, deshedding instead of descending now makes perfect sense.
So, what are we going to do this morning?
We are going to improve the AI chatbot by giving it more training data so it doesn’t point the user to a website, but rather gives the actual information (which it didn’t have) in it’s answer.
How long would it take to re-train your call centre?
Clever? Yes
Scary? No
