The Product Knowledge AI chatbot
Imagine an AI system that knows everything about your products and services. That can answer customers queries when you are not able to – like at night, over weekends, when you are busy. Customers don’t keep your hours!
Let me give some examples: My pool wasn’t working properly so I thought the sand needed replacing. I went to one of the hardware chains and asked the assistant how many bags of sand I needed. He didn’t know – it could be 2 or 3, so I took 3 just in case which turned out to be correct. Later on I discovered that most filters have a number on them, 2 or 3, to designate the number of bags of sand it needed. Remember I’m not a pool expert!
Imagine if I could have gone to their website and opened a Product Knowledge AI bot and said “My filter isn’t working well”. It would have diagnosed some problems and then said “You need to replace the sand in the filter”. I would have asked “How many bags and it would have said “Look on the filter for a number which shows how many bags you need” and given me a photo as well. It could even have offered me to watch a Youtube on how to do the work.
Another product knowledge story: I need some form of public liability insurance for my dog food business, so I asked my insurance broker for information. Instead I received a long form to fill in with no explanation. I wanted to know about public liability, not fill in a complicated form which asked me about my USA manufacturing facility, which I don’t have.
Imagine if the broker had a facility that could explain to me, the customer what it is and how it works. Remember I’m not a pool guy and apparently also not an insurance guy either!
In both cases a Product Knowledge AI chatbot would have been better than even asking someone who did not know the answer.
A Product Knowledge AI chatbot can be used for any slightly complicated service or product. Whenever a customer fills in a form on your website, emails or phones you, a Product Knowledge AI chatbot could be appropriate. It is not necessarily only used for IT and ISP tasks. It could be almost type of business.
