We’ve been working on this for a couple of days and it is actually working quite well. The aim is to make an AI agent, give it job specifications and business requirements and let it interview prospective employees.
We know that asking an employee to fill in a form asking 20 questions is not enough to judge if they will be a good fit in your organisation. You need to ask more probing questions, and follow up their answers with other questions.
This is where an AI agent can come in. It can ask the usual questions, but will also ask additional questions to try get more details as to the competency and fit of the prospective employee into your company. It starts by asking for the person’s name and email address and optionally for their CV.
The interview is written, but the interviewee can speak his answers via voice to text.
Once the interview is over the AI agent can email the entire transcript to the interviewee and also to HR. The AI agent can also summarise the response. HR can then read it and judge whether the prospective employee should be called in for a live/video interview.
How much work is required to set it up? Far less than you would expect! All that is needed is the job spec and company specific policies, all of which you already have. We have already done the rest.
Benefits to you:
– The interview AI agent does the time consuming work with the prospective employee, saving HR and management time
– It allows a lot more people to apply and to be interviewed in a short time without inconveniencing them by requiring them to visit for an interview
– The interview is far better structured than reading differing formatted CVs
– It helps identify better people for the job
