Sadly some don’t spend as much time making their office more efficient.
A long time ago, I used to train people on Lotus 123 – the forerunner to Excel. One of the processes to learn was how to COPY/PASTE a formula (without a mouse in those days). Some people would re-type the formula 100 times!
Even in today’s world some people are using Excel to COPY a formula 100 times because they don’t know how to use a PIVOT table.
If you can do a job 100 times faster than your competitor, how much better is your business?

Today, we have tree fellers neatening up our offices. The supervisor called wanting to know what he must do, because he was given a job card and nothing else – despite a salesperson coming over last week to do an inspection and give us a quote.
I’m certain he did not take photos and send a WhatsApp with notes to his server and the server did not automatically WhatsApp the supervisor with written instructions and photos – as well as the job card.
I’m guessing the salesperson estimated this is a 10 hour job and quoted accordingly – just made some sparse notes. Even if he had taken more notes they were not sent via a job card or WhatsApp.
